Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bay Shore resident Kareem Baldwin, 34, following a stop on Mechanicsville Road shortly after 1 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, after he committed multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Baldwin was stopped after he allegedly backed into a curb, failed to use a signal, and drove the wrong way down a one-way street.

During subsequent Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Baldwin “demonstrated clues that he was intoxicated,” and he was arrested.

Baldwin was charged at the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office with driving while intoxicated after he refused to submit to a breathalyzer. He was also cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a one-way road violation, and failure to signal.
